Thermoregulators are designed for automatic temperature regulation (maintaining the temperature set by the user) in rooms equipped with cable floor heating systems. To measure the air temperature in the room a built-in sensor is used, which is based on the properties of bimetallic elements or gases that change their shape or volume under the influence of external temperature. The principle of operation of the thermostat is to close and open the electrical circuit when the set temperature is reached.
