Description
DNOVA PRD PSI 232 direct acting differential pressure regulators are used to maintain the set differential pressure between the supply and return pipelines of the process plant. The regulator valve is normally open in the absence of signal (energy). It is used in heat supply systems with working medium temperature not more than 150°C and nominal pressure not more than 1.6 MPa (16 bar).
Direct-acting pressure regulator is a regulating device that uses the energy of the flowing medium to move the regulating body. The direct acting regulator is not a shut-off valve and operates only at a constant flow rate of the medium through the regulator.
The body of PRD differential pressure regulator is made of gray cast iron.
Connection to the pipeline is flanged with the execution of sealing surfaces.
Product operation.
The regulator is a regulating device that uses the energy of flowing medium to move the regulating body. The regulator is a normally open regulating body, the principle of operation of which is based on balancing the force of elastic deformation of the adjustment spring and the force created by the pressure difference in the diaphragm chambers of the actuator.
The PRD differential pressure regulator consists of three elements: valve, actuator, setpoint adjuster. The valve of the regulator is normally open in the absence of a pulse. A higher-pressure pulse is applied to the diaphragm by a pulse line. A lower pressure pulse is fed under the diaphragm by a pulse line. A change in the adjustable differential pressure above the setpoint set by the spring in the setpoint adjuster causes the stem to move and the valve piston to open or close until the adjustable differential pressure reaches the value set on the setpoint adjuster.
