A water butterfly valve is a type of valve used to control the flow of water or other fluids through a pipeline. It gets its name from the butterfly-shaped disc inside the valve that rotates to open or close the flow. When the valve is fully open, the disc is positioned parallel to the flow direction, allowing unobstructed passage of water. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned perpendicular to the flow, effectively blocking the flow of water. Water butterfly valves are commonly used in various industries and applications, including water treatment plants, sewage systems, irrigation systems, and industrial processes. They are known for their compact design, lightweight construction, and ease of installation. These valves are often preferred for their quick operation, as the disc can be opened or closed with a simple quarter-turn motion. Butterfly valves can be operated manually with a handle or lever, or they can be automated using electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuators to control the valve remotely. They are known for their low-pressure drop and relatively low cost compared to other types of valves. It's worth noting that water butterfly valves are specifically designed for use with water and compatible fluids. Different materials and designs may be required for valves intended for use with corrosive or high-pressure fluids. It's important to select the appropriate type of butterfly valve based on the specific application and fluid requirements.
DNOVA pneumatic actuators are designed for automation of industrial valve control process with maximum torque up to 2128 Nm. Pneumatic actuators can be mounted on various quarter-turn valves according to the instructions. The flanges must comply with iso 5211.
Pneumatic actuators are used for control in pneumatic systems with NAMUR docking surface, to install the actuators through through holes in the body.
The limit switch unit is designed for visual and electrical signalling of the valve end positions. It is mounted on top of the pneumatic actuator surface and connected to the actuator shaft - DIN standard. The sealed box usually contains two sensors which monitor the position of the actuator shaft and signalise the end positions. The visual indication of the position can be seen on the housing of the unit there is a 3D visual indicator RED-CLOSED and GREEN-OPEN.
The HDM worm gear manual doubleturn actuator with reduction gearbox allows manual setting of the required positioning of the shut-off valve by a quarter turn, acting as an alternative to pneumatic, electric or hydraulic quarter-turn actuators. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. The modular design of the manual override is intended to provide the most efficient and effective solution to the full range of manual override applications.
