Description
Needle valves are designed to shut off and regulate the flow of water, gas, oil products, vapour-water mixture and other media in process lines of pipelines and instrumentation and control systems, small diameter linear pipelines with transportation of high pressure liquid and gaseous media.
Working principle. A distinctive feature of the needle valve is a conical needle-like apex at the end of the valve stem. When the T-handle is turned, the stem moves up or down, which changes the position of the needle relative to the seat. The longer part of the needle is smaller than the hole in the valve seat and passes through the hole in front of the needle. This design allows smooth regulation of the medium flow rate with relatively high accuracy.
