An electric solenoid valve is a type of valve that uses an electromagnetic solenoid coil to control the flow of fluids or gases. When an electric current is applied to the solenoid coil, it generates a magnetic field that moves a plunger or a valve stem, allowing or stopping the flow of the fluid through the valve. Electric solenoid valves are commonly used in various applications such as irrigation systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, industrial automation, and control systems, where remote control of fluid flow is necessary.
