صمامات البوابة الشفرية هي نوع محدد من صمامات البوابة التي تُستخدم عادة في الصناعات للتعامل مع المواد الصلبة الصعبة والمواد السائلة. سُميت بشكلها، حيث تحتوي صمامات البوابة الشفرية على بوابة حادة تشبه الشفرة يمكنها قطع المواد اللزجة أو الصلبة في التدفق. تُستخدم عادة في محطات معالجة مياه الصرف الصحي، ومصانع الورق، وعمليات التعدين، وصناعات المواد الغذائية، من بين أمور أخرى. وظيفتها الأساسية هي بدء أو إيقاف التدفق أو ضبط حجمه، لكنها لا تتحكم في الضغط أو معدل التدفق.
