If the connected pipe fittings are closed, then only the red part of the hemisphere with the inscription CLOSED is visible; if open, only the yellow part with the inscription OPEN. This visual indicator is clearly visible from afar, which simplifies the inspection of equipment, and the color difference between the open and closed positions reduces the likelihood of erroneous perception of information.
